Chinese Companies Embrace ESG and Face EU Business Environment Challenges—CCCEU Vice Chairing Member China Three Gorges Europe and Other Members Participate in In-Depth Interviews with the Chamber and Roland Berger
On August 23, 2024, Chen Zhongyi, Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU and Chairman of China Three Gorges (Europe) Co., Ltd. participated in the annual flagship report in-depth interview hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) and Roland Berger. The interview was moderated by CCCEU Secretary General Fang Dongkui.
CCCEU Vice Chairman Chen provided an overview of China Three Gorges Europe's operations and development in the EU, particularly highlighting the company's practices in implementing ESG principles. The renewable energy sector represents a new growth area for cooperation between Chinese and European companies in the green transition, and it offers broad prospects for joint exploration of third-party market opportunities. Wang Quanliang, Chief Compliance Officer of China Three Gorges Europe, discussed the impact of EU trade policies on businesses.
The in-depth interviews for the Chamber's annual flagship report have been intensively conducted. On August 21, Zhang Shengming, Head of Legal Affairs for LONGi Solar Europe, participated in the interviews. On August 22, Terence Xiong, Vice President of International Development Affairs at BGI Genomics, and Xu Ruiqi, Head of BGI Genomics' Europe and Africa region, also took part in the interviews.
