Huawei Europe Participates in In-Depth Interview with the CCCEU and Roland Berger
On August 30, 2024, Jin Yong, Vice President of Huawei Europe, led a team to participate in an in-depth interview for the annual flagship report by the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) and Roland Berger. He emphasized that Huawei Europe is committed to collaborating with European partners to build an open, reciprocal, and sustainable digital talent ecosystem. The interview was moderated by Secretary General Fang Dongkui of the CCCEU.
Secretary General Fang Dongkui highlighted that Huawei, a leading giant in China's technology industry, has made significant contributions over the past two decades since entering the European market. With the principle of "In Europe, For Europe," Huawei has played a visible role in promoting local digital innovation, employment, and digital transformation across Europe. As the Chair of the Digital Working Group of the CCCEU, Huawei Europe's assessment and analysis are crucial to understanding the business environment within the Chamber.
Vice President Jin Yong elaborated on Huawei Europe's efforts in nurturing digital talent, fostering innovation partnerships, and supporting the digital transformation of the European economy. He noted that Huawei Europe places great importance on co-creating a digital talent ecosystem with local stakeholders. Over the years, initiatives such as the "Seeds for the Future" program and scholarship projects have continuously developed young talent in ICT fields like industry digitalization, big data, and cloud computing, aiming to build a harmonious, open, and sustainable digital talent environment that promotes Europe's digital and intelligent transformation. Wen Han, Huawei's Chief Representative to the EU, discussed the opportunities and challenges in the EU's business environment regarding talent, innovation, and digital infrastructure, and shared Huawei Europe's efforts in advancing ESG through technological innovation.
The interview also covered key topics such as the policy environment of the EU's digital economy and the EU's landscape for innovation and talent.
