Electricity is a crucial piece of infrastructure for supporting the high-quality development of the digital economy. It represents one of the key areas where digital technologies are most extensively applied and digital industries are most active. China Southern Power Grid (CSG) has established the world's first Digital Grid Research Institute and released the Digital Power Grid White Paper, coordinating the advancement of digitalization in the power grid, services and operations, and digital industrialization, while comprehensively enhancing the capabilities of ensuring energy security and network security. Thus, we can continuously provide new impetus for the green and low-carbon transformation of the power industry and the high-quality development of the economy and society.

We vigorously promote the digitalization of the power grid to ensure a safe and reliable power supply. Through digital technology, we continuously enhance our ability to predict and respond to disasters in extreme situations. Additionally, we are improving the power grid's capacity to integrate, distribute, and regulate clean energy. In the five provincial-level regions in southern China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan), the installed capacity of new energy has reached 145 million kilowatts, accounting for 32 percent of the total installed capacity, with a utilization rate of new energy exceeding 99 percent for five consecutive years. This indicates that the clean energy supply structure has taken shape in the five regions. Furthermore, we have established a unified digital trading platform for the electricity market, enabling southern China to be the first region in the country to implement a national unified electricity market system.

We have vigorously promoted the digitization of services. We have optimized the electricity business environment and created the "CSG Online" smart business hall, achieving world-class reliability in power supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Additionally, we have strengthened the coordination of electricity data with public safety and are deeply engaged in constructing data platforms for urban governance, the overall coordination of emergency repairs, and the integrated management of urban infrastructure. We have also facilitated scientific decision-making of the government by creating 362 big data analysis applications that link electricity data with the economy, industry, carbon emissions and credit, thus providing data support for economic recovery and growth, risk monitoring and early warning, as well as scientific and precise implementation of strategies.

We have vigorously promoted the digitization of operations by advancing the construction of digital scenarios such as digital substations, smart distribution rooms, and smart microgrids. Furthermore, we have advanced artificial intelligence-based business applications, such as equipment inspection and load forecasting, to transform and upgrade power grid planning, construction, production, operation, and dispatching modes. In addition, we have basically established a modern digital supply chain system, ensuring smooth asset lifecycle management. Our self-developed grid management platform, a large-scale digital system, is now operational, supporting over 90 percent of management operations to run online.

We vigorously promote digital industrialization. We have comprehensively laid out new types of infrastructure and built the national 5G+ digital power grid demonstration zones in Nansha, Guangzhou, and Longgang, Shenzhen, promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional power infrastructure to a new type featuring "electric power + computing power + network." Furthermore, we have constructed a high-quality digital power grid technology and equipment industrial chain, and independently developed and mass produced "Fuxi" — the first domestically produced power-specific main control chip. We have also driven innovation in artificial intelligence technology and applications and released the first domestic power IoT operating system — Power HarmonyOS, realizing devices' plug-and-play function and major data linkage. In addition, we have built the first data asset management system in the energy industry and explored pricing methods for energy industry data assets and trading models for electric power data markets.

We have taken comprehensive measures to enhance network security. Leveraging the two-level network security operation and dispatch centers, we conduct 24/7 dispatch commands to ensure constant vigilance. We continuously enhance network attack and defense capabilities, regularly conduct practical exercises and emergency drills, and enhance our ability to manage the operation of large and complex systems.

CSG will continue to focus on technological innovation and embrace the digitalized, networked, and intelligent transformation to help boost China's strength in cyberspace and digital development, thus contributing to the establishment of the country's new development paradigm and the Chinese path to modernization.
