Topics discussed included EU battery legislation, China-Europe market development experiences, EU business environment, battery recycling, storage and charging station market developments abroad, investment policies in the Walloon Region, and the China International Supply Chain Expo.

CCCEU Director of Communication and Research Liang Linlin spoke on "Challenges and Opportunities for Chinese New Energy Companies Expanding into Europe." She noted that from the second half of 2023 to early 2024, the EU introduced numerous policy changes in the renewable and green sectors, which raised concerns about the development of Chinese companies in these areas in Europe. However, she emphasized that Chinese companies still highly value the development potential and prospects of the European green market, as well as the EU's research and talent environment, and look forward to a steady and long-term development in China-Europe green cooperation despite headwinds.
