CCCEU Secretary General Fang Dongkui Engages in In-Depth Discussions with XTransfer CEO Deng Guobiao

On January 13, 2024, the Secretary General of China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU), Fang Dongkui, held a meeting with the visiting CEO of the cross-border payment unicorn company XTransfer, Deng Guobiao. They had an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as Sino-European cross-border payments, industry development, and the EU business environment.

Fang stated that China and the EU are each other's second-largest trading partners, with daily import and export values exceeding 2 billion euros. The demand for cross-border financial services is high among enterprises from both sides, especially small and micro enterprises, making technology innovation in cross-border transactions promising. CCCEU closely follows the trends in Sino-European economic and trade fields and the digital development of enterprises. CCCEU is willing to enhance communication and cooperation with a wide range of companies, including XTransfer, to create more convenient conditions for Sino-European trade and commerce.

Mr. Deng Guobiao introduced the development of XTransfer in Europe, America, and emerging markets, as well as the prospects for technological innovation in the field of cross-border payments. He stated that the development of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence is aiding the innovation and realization of scenarios in cross-border payments. XTransfer has officially started its process of internationalization and looks forward to using innovative technology to empower small and micro foreign trade enterprises globally, helping to develop a safer, compliant, and convenient foreign trade ecosystem for Sino-European, emerging markets, and global trade.

On the same day, before returning to Switzerland to participate in activities related to the Davos Forum, Mr. Deng Guobiao was interviewed by several media outlets at the Chamber about Sino-European economic and trade relations, artificial intelligence, and the Davos Forum. Chen Jin, XTransfer's regional business expansion manager and Liang Linlin, the Director of Communication and Research at CCCEU, also attended the meeting. Representatives of XTransfer and members of CCCEU were invited to participate in the World Economic Forum activities currently being held in Switzerland.
