CCCEU holds its first board of directors and executive committee meeting of 2024

On January 8, 2024, China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) held its first board and executive committee meeting of the year in Brussels, successfully completing various agendas and making suggestions for the development of the Chamber. The meeting was chaired by Xu Chen, Chairman of the CCCEU.

The meeting acknowledged that CCCEU had achieved significant accomplishments in its work in 2023. CCCEU actively fostered a win-win cooperation atmosphere between China and Europe, hosting or supporting approximately 40 economic and trade dialogues, forums, and seminars last year, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between China and Europe. CCCEU has published the annual report on the development of Chinese enterprises in the EU for five consecutive years, receiving high recognition from various sectors in China and the EU. It has also spoken out for Chinese enterprises regarding issues such as the EU's anti-subsidy investigation on Chinese electric vehicles and the EU 5G security toolbox, protecting the interests of Chinese enterprises in Europe.

CCCEU has strengthened its research and contact with enterprises, holding about a hundred bilateral meetings and exchanges throughout the last year, further increasing its attractiveness to enterprises, with 20 new member units added throughout the year.

The meeting also deeply discussed the future development of CCCEU proposing opinions and suggestions on how the Chamber can better serve its members, protect the interests of Chinese enterprises in Europe, and further enhance the influence of its flagship report.
