Hikvision Europe has unveiled a new CyberSafe Experience Center at its headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands as part of its ongoing commitment to cybersecurity. The center is designed to highlight common vulnerabilities in IoT devices and the latest methods to mitigate them.

Cybersecurity features often in modern trends reports and risk assessments. In fact, according to PwC's 25th CEO Survey, 58% of those surveyed see cyber-attacks as a very big threat to business operations. Hikvision takes the threat of cybersecurity seriously and actively works to understand and counter cybersecurity threats. Now visitors to Hikvision's CyberSafe Experience Center can learn about threats and how to counteract them. The showroom provides technology and methodology demonstrations for addressing cybersecurity threats. It also showcases how Hikvision device security begins with design, and how Hikvision devices can be kept safe while in use.

Hikvision designed the new center to help visitors:

§  Build trust and gain peace of mind: Understanding how these devices tackle cybersecurity threats builds trust in the devices and their technology.

§  Expand visibility and awareness: "Forewarned is forearmed" is an especially relevant statement in cybersecurity. When you are aware of threats, you can counter them before they become a problem. The center provides an overview of cybersecurity measures with interactive demonstrations that scan and test Hikvision products.

§  Improve cybersecurity and compliance: The center shows the extra layer of security that up-to-date cybersecurity measures provide. These measures enable Hikvision to comply with industry and regulatory requirements by monitoring and reporting security threats. Hikvision's strict methodologies allows us to guide dealers and end users in how to ensure compliance for their installed devices.

"The world of IoT-connected devices and growing device interaction requires a vigilant ecosystem to ensure cybersecurity protection. This is why we opened the new European CyberSafe Experience Center, so customers and partners can see firsthand how Hikvision uses cybersecurity design and tools to ensure device safety," said Rob Janssens, Hikvision EMEA Cybersecurity Director. "The showroom enables us to demonstrate the security of Hikvision devices and show how they are developed according to globally recognized cybersecurity standards and best practices. Visibility builds trust and helps partners and customers learn how to maintain cybersecure devices. The CyberSafe Experience Center will facilitate better cybersecurity for our partners."

Hikvision encourages interested parties to contact their local representative to schedule a time to visit the CyberSafe Experience Center.
