Webinar: “New EU Rules on Corporate Reporting and Due Diligence”
Webinar: “New EU Rules on Corporate Reporting and Due Diligence”
Since last year, the EU has been assessing companies reporting obligations in the area of sustainability, while the European Commission has proposed a series of important legislative initiatives to improve corporate due diligence duty in areas such as the environment and human rights, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDD), which are expected to have a direct impact on all companies operating in the EU Market. On 23 February 2022,the CCCEU participated in the public consultation on the CSDD to represent the view and opinions of the Chinese business community in the EU.
The new EU regulations in the area of corporate sustainability will work in tandem. We recommend Chinese enterprises in the EU to prepare well ahead and to thoroughly understand the content of this new legislation. The China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) has invited senior lawyers to explain the new EU rules and answer questions from the audience.
