CTG commissions China’s first zero-carbon data center

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that it has commissioned China's first large-scale green, zero-carbon data center on March 29.

Located on the right bank of the Three Gorges Dam area in Yichang City, Hubei Province, Dongyuemiao Data Center covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with 26,400 racks planned to be deployed in three phases.

The Phase I of the project, which was commissioned on March 29, has 4,400 racks with a total power of 26,400 kW. Fully powered by clean energy, it will consume over 200 million kWh of electricity per year.
