CTG holds first conference of 2021 with Energias de Portugal

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) has continued to strengthen its partnership with Energias de Portugal (EDP), Portugal’s leading energy company, this year, with the CTG and EDP steering committee holding its first conference on February 19.

At the conference, attended by executives of both companies, CTG and EDP discussed clean energy outlook, business plans and strategic collaborations. EDP briefed CTG on its operations in 2020, its plan for the next five years, the current strategic partnership agreement, and its priorities for collaborating with CTG in 2021.

CTG called for both sides to pay more attention to the current global trend of new energy development, hoping each side can leverage their unique advantages to strengthen the partnership and promote cooperation in areas such as emerging technology,industries, people and cultural exchanges so that both companies can achieve more fruits in their partnership.

Last year, CTG increased its stake in the EDP to 21.55%, further cementing its position as EDP’s largest shareholder.
