On June 17, 2020, the European Commission released a "White Paper on levelling the playing field as regards foreign subsidies." The text of the White Paper is the basis for discussion which is expected to culminate in a legislative document in 2022.

In the framework of the China-Europe Business Dialogue, the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) invites experts on EU affairs, and competition and state aid specifically and its members to this close-door discussion on July 23 at 9.30-11.30 (Brussels time) to discuss the content and its implications on the activities of non-EU businesses, especially those from China. 
The seminar is also intended to be an informative update on the White Paper, and a brainstorming exercise leading to the CCCEU's participation in the public consultation of the European Commission. 

Participation to the event is by invitation only. Chatham House rules will be observed.
