CCCEU appreciates EU's actions in fighting pneumonia outbreak
The CCCEU appreciates the strong political commitment made by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during their recent phone call, during which they pledged closer cooperation in winning the battle against the pneumonia outbreak caused by the novel coronavirus.
Representing about 1,000 Chinese businesses operating in the EU, the Brussels-based CCCEU is impressed by the swift coordination efforts and actions of the EU and its member states in delivering 12 tons of much-needed personal protective equipment to China.
"We highly appreciate EU institutions, member states, European businesses and ordinary people lending a helping hand at this urgent moment; we believe such solidarity and humanitarian spirit will help us work even closer with our European friends and partners in winning the battle as quickly as possible," said Zhou Lihong, chairperson of CCCEU.
